A Wonderful Spring for Gardening

I've always wondered what our gardens would look like if there was enough rain water rather than survival depending on my watering can. This was the year. Everything is growing like mad ~ flowers, grass, weeds, volunteer trees, roses of sharon, reseeded tomatoes and whatever the birds dropped or the wind blew onto the soil. I yearn to get out in the flower beds to pull weeds, transplant surprise seedlings that I want to keep, deadhead the lush but spent blooms and cut down the spring bulbs foliage. My time is spent in the office and on the road. The work is just not getting done.

Fortunately, there is a fabulous Garden Tour this weekend in Muncie. I will enjoy someone elses' labors. You can too!

There is something for everyone:  Gardens, Antique Cars at the gardens, Tea and Treats at the Bach Garden.

Visit the MSO Blog for more information.  I'll see you there . . .

My gardens have that slightly more wild look right now, too. I haven't really gotten in and weeded properly. Glad you'll be able to get your more manicured garden fix this weekend during the Garden Tour.

Cotehele, I understand you've been up to your eyeballs with work, so I'll forgive you for not including pictures of your garden.
Btw, you're right, it seems our gardens are thriving this year. Even my temperamental dogwood tree bloomed, and what a pretty sight it was.

Enjoy your weekend dear, and your garden!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one with the sprawling gardens look. I'm trying to think of it as a design choice ("natural") as opposed to just unweeded and wild. The garden tour sounds lovely.
