I've always wondered what our gardens would look like if there was enough rain water rather than survival depending on my watering can. This was the year. Everything is growing like mad ~ flowers, grass, weeds, volunteer trees, roses of sharon, reseeded tomatoes and whatever the birds dropped or the wind blew onto the soil. I yearn to get out in the flower beds to pull weeds, transplant surprise seedlings that I want to keep, deadhead the lush but spent blooms and cut down the spring bulbs foliage. My time is spent in the office and on the road. The work is just not getting done.
Fortunately, there is a fabulous Garden Tour this weekend in Muncie. I will enjoy someone elses' labors. You can too!
There is something for everyone: Gardens, Antique Cars at the gardens, Tea and Treats at the Bach Garden.
